Bentheim

WARENDORF. He is still youthful – just as a three-year-old horse should be. Bentheim, the beautiful three-year-old stallion from the stallion station Gut Neuenhof, did not present himself as an exalted “romper” at the Bundeschampionat, but rather as a remonte with a solid basic training. But it was precisely this youthfulness and composure, which the stallion showed throughout, that revealed his special quality. The son of Belvedere DB out of a Rock Forever I dam, bred by Jürgen de Baey, improved during the championships and delighted the spectators as well as the judges. The result: the title of Bundeschampion of three-year-old riding horse stallions.

With a final score of 8.4, Bentheim already took second place in the final qualifier. The young stallion always showed himself to be confident and focused, always relaxed, in step and elastic in all three basic gaits. This correctness was finally rewarded once again in the final: here the stallion was able to improve even further and received partial scores of up to 9.0 for his rideability and canter. With a final score of 8.6, he secured the championship victory in the competition for three-year-old stallions.

The panel of judges particularly praised the stallion’s correct topline, his even rhythm in all gaits and his suppleness, which was even more evident in the final than in the qualifier.

After his championship title, Bentheim can now enjoy a break and regenerate.
