OERLINGHAUSEN-WÄHRENTRUP. When the very first start at S* level is on the starting grid, the goal is usually to ride a nice round. If a result of over 70 percent is then achieved, it probably exceeds all expectations. But if the premiere is then crowned with a victory, there are simply no words to describe this breakthrough.
That was probably exactly how Luisa Sophie Duen felt when she received her first gold ribbon for winning an advanced (S*) level dressage test. The 18-year-old and her jet-black stallion Goldberg had won over the panel of judges at the Oerlinghausen Dressage Days: 70.437 percent at the end – that was first place.
Goldberg, the 13-year-old stallion by Amazing Star, stationed at the Gut Neuenhof stallion station, has proven himself time and time again not only as a sire, but also as a champion training horse par excellence. The pair’s next stop will be the German Youth Championships, which will take place in Riesenbeck from September 12 to 15.
