Görlitz Summerweeks: Successes for Vainqueur and Escolar offspring

GÖRLITZ. Several representatives of the Gut Neuenhof stallion station’s breeding program shone in the arena of the Görlitz Summerweeks. Not only Vainqueur, former station stallion, but also several Escolar offspring celebrated successes in the Saxon summer weather.

Vainqueur in particular caused a sensation. The highly elegant Vivaldi son was once a station stallion at the Gut Neuenhof stallion station and was trained by master rider Hubertus Schmidt. He has since found a new home at Dorothee Schneider’s stables, who has already celebrated her first brilliant successes with him. The pair have now triumphed in the Grand Prix Spécial with 74.667 percent. “This was a very special test for me,” said the riding champion after the ride. The qualifying test, which Schneider and Vainqueur also won with 75.120 percent, proved that this performance is characterized by continuity.

Schneider also celebrated a victory with an Escolar daughter, the nine-year-old mare Elysee, bred and owned by Elisabeth Max-Theurer. The duo came out on top in the Prix St. Georges with 71.316 percent.

Thomas Wagner, who rode Escolar’s Emil into the final qualifier for the Nuremberg Burg Pokal, also had a good laugh. The pair had already punched their ticket for the final round in Frankfurt – but Wagner and “Emil” topped off their performance with 73.854 percent and victory in the final qualifier.
