A stallion who is simply a joy to ride! Nikan's Diamond has the potential to follow in the great sporting footsteps of Cordess. And that is no wonder.

The "overachiever"

After all, the pedigree of this KWPN stallion features one top sire after the next with Kannan, C-Indoctro and Ahorn. And all this from the successful dam line of Freiminka. Nikan's Diamond has lived up to his pedigree in every respect to date. Whether 14-day test or sport test I and II - he finished every stallion performance test with above-average results and each one was better than the last, ending with an 8.72 and a 9.0 for his ability. Nikan's Diamond does full justice to this assessment in the show ring. In keeping with his age, he collected victories and placings up to medium (M) level. One thing is clear: this is by no means the end of the line.

From a good family

The sire of Nikan's Diamond, Michel Hécart's (FRA) European Championship show jumper Kannan, was not only successful up to the highest level himself, he has been one of the top ten sires in the WBFSH ranking since 2010 and is once again at the top this year. Olympic champion Nino des Buissonnets (Steve Guerdat/SUI), the Paris silver medal winner Dorai D'Aiguilly (Olivier Perreau/FRA), the Irish Olympic show jumper James Kann Cruz (Shane Sweetnam/IRL), the World Cup winner Paille de la Roque (Steve Guerdat/SUI) and many other top horses have the Voltaire son and therefore Furioso II grandson as their sire.

The dam Maraminka by C-Indoctro (sire of more than 20 licensed stallions with offspring earnings of 1.3 million euros) was known in sport as Minka's Diamond. She herself jumped for the Netherlands in Nations Cups with Emile Tacken. She has also long since proven herself as a broodmare with three offspring jumping internationally at advanced level: Diamond of Minka, Enjoy Blue Diamond and Freiminka's Blue Diamond.

Oldenburg roots

Nikan's Diamond is Dutch, but the origins of his family lie in Oldenburg. He comes from the same line as our 1.60 jumping stallion Cordess. Agana van het Gerendal Z (Lillie Keenan/USA), Sea Coast Guiness (Harrie Allen/IRL and Gudrun Patteet/BEL) and Zernike K (Brianne Goutal-Marteau/USA), for example, were and are also internationally successful on the show jumping circuit. However, the most prominent representative of this line is dressage stallion: the legendary Totilas.

Nikan's Diamond: rideable, athletic, willing to perform and from a genetically sound family - what more could you want?
