For Gestüt Gut Neuenhof, it has been clear ever since the multiple award-winning champion mare Gloria that Goldberg also passes on his qualities via the mares. In Munich and Vechta, he has now produced two grandsons on his dam’s side that impressively underline this assessment.
Noble, long-legged, strong-moving and willing to perform – Goldberg himself is victorious up to advanced level and so are his descendants. And not only in direct succession (as proven by 14 licensed sons and successful advanced (S) level sport horses), but increasingly also through their dams, as demonstrated by the 770,000 euro winner of the DSP licensing in Munich-Riem.
51 stallions made up the licensing lot at the DSP Stallion Days 2025, but one in particular was the talk of the town from day one: the Bonds son out of the Goldberg dam, who was born to Hendrik Niehe, then acquired by the hosts as the top-priced foal at the foal auction at Gestüt Schafhof and was now the outstanding youngster of his generation in Munich. Even before the premiums were announced, this Goldberg grandson from the Neustadt P line was the winner of hearts. He was later officially named champion stallion. After an exciting bidding duel, the Austrian stud farm Pramwaldhof was awarded the record price of 770,000 euros. The talented young stallion will now make a career for himself under the name Bonds in Gold and hopefully keep the legacy of our Goldberg alive.
A Goldberg grandson also convinced the licensing committee at the Oldenburg main licensing in Vechta. It is a son of Va Bene, whom Oskar Kusterer had selected for mating with his Goldberg daughter Abbey. The stallion was exhibited in Vechta by stallion owner, breeder and successful breeder Heinrich Ramsbrock in Menslage, who did not want to sell his now licensed youngster. He knows why.
We congratulate the stallion teams and are delighted with their breeding success with the genes of our stallions!
